My Sister’s Journey of Getting Rid of Fungal Infection Empty My Sister’s Journey of Getting Rid of Fungal Infection

Mon Jun 24, 2024 7:56 am
Hey all,

Today, I want to discuss something intimate yet extremely common - a fungal infection. This post is inspired by my sister, who was suffering from a horrible fungal infection. It has been an excruciatingly painful and irritating experience not only for her but also for those around us.

During my sister’s journey of healing, I found out that persisting fungal infections are a common problem, but the majority of the patients do not discuss it.
So, I thought I would write this forum post to discuss my sister’s experience. And perhaps people can take relief from the fact that a cure is possible! It is so important not to be ashamed of your infections and seek support openly.
So, I would start with her symptoms and move on to discussing the line of treatment we followed.

My sister was suffering from a fungal infection that impacted every possible part of the body you can imagine. She was dealing with rashes on her legs and hands. The infection also spread vaginally and through her skin, scalp, and throat as well.  She had the constant urge to scratch her skin, and it was really painful to watch her create scabs on her skin. I cannot possibly imagine how painful it would be for her. It used to be frustrating to watch her suffer and not do anything about her.

We consulted many doctors, but most of their prescribed medicines did not work for her. We were at our wit’s end with her because her suffering was not stopping, and none of the antifungal medications present in the market seemed to be working.
She became highly irritable because of her condition, and this was impacting our whole household. Everything she used had to be sterilized to prevent the infection from spreading to other members of the family. She was slowly withdrawing from school, and her grades were being affected as well. She started isolating herself because she did not want anyone to see the rashes on her skin.

In the end, we consulted a specialist and they asked us to create a routine that consisted of consuming antifungal pills and a few lifestyle changes. I am hoping that this might help someone who is looking to get rid of the discomfort the fungus is causing them.
So, they prescribed her Vorizol 200mg Voriconazole tablets. It was definitely the best antifungal tablets for her because of how well it worked. Along with pills, they asked us to do the following as well:
Eating plain yogurt
Consume food rich in probiotics
Sterilizing clothes and whatever touches your skin
Use Coconut oil on affected areas

It is important to note that these things work only well if they are accompanied by antifungal pills for the skin. The whole routine worked wonderfully for her. She has gotten a lot better.
If you are someone suffering from fungal infections then this is your sign to not suffer alone and consult a doctor ASAP! They can definitely help you and make sure you consume prescribed antifungal pills only!
